Care Ministry

The Care Team reaches out to the members, friends, and families of the church
and community during the storms of life to bring the presence of Christ and the
promises of God. The care provided is spiritual: always bringing people to Jesus,
supporting them in prayer while at the same time teaching them to grow in faith.
The care provided is also present: people are available to listen, to be a shoulder
to cry on and to be living, breathing ambassadors for Jesus Christ.

Christ-Life
Christ-Life is a life-changing experience created through a three-phase program that helps people develop true intimacy with Jesus Christ.

Phase I Deals with the Past
Cost: $50 – materials available at first class
Sorry, childcare not available

Experience a safe environment to share and explore your personal history. Learn to identify what your current thinking patterns are and where they came from, allowing you to break away from them and bond to the life God has planned for you.

Phase II Deals with God in the Present
Learn how to get past the hopelessness of not feeling “good enough,” and get off the treadmill of performance. You will identify the pattern of thinking that God wants you to have toward yourself, others, life, and most of all, him.

Phase III Deals with the Future
Get practical tools that will allow you to take the power of God beyond “head knowledge,” and into the reality of your everyday life. As you exchange your old thinking patterns for his Christ-Life in you, you will be transformed by the renewing of your mind and experience real life change.

CareCore Ministry
What is the CareCore? Hope's CareCore consists of trained Care Ministers who provide Christian support and spiritual guidance to people who are in need. There is no cost for the 25 hours of mandatory training. Each session concludes with a ceremony to mark the commissioning of the ministers for service.

Care Ministers are paired with Care Receivers on a one-to-one basis, matching men with men and women with women. Receivers may be experiencing a variety of challenges such as loss of a job, grief, loneliness, depression, health concerns or other stresses.  Each pairing is always kept
confidential and may be short or long-term.

Care Ministers meet once a month in small groups for mutual support, spiritual encouragement and continuing education opportunities. Annual retreats and fellowship gatherings will provide growth, renewal and of course, fun!

An expanding part of the CareCore ministry is monthly worship services at assisted living facilities in the metro area. We encourage families and friends of the residents to attend.
