HOW YOU CAN HELP
• “Fill the Cupboard Weekend" will always be the 2nd weekend of each month. Please prayerfully consider donating the SPECIFIC ITEMS NEEDED FOR ONE EMERGENCY BAG OF GROCERIES each month, so that we can sustain this mission for anyone in need of assistance.
Please consider purchasing a bag at either Ankeny Fareway location. The cashier will simply add $18.76 to your grocery bill and Fareway & the Hope Ankeny Mission Team will take care of the rest! You may also purchase the items at the store of your choice. See the list below. Then bring them to Prairie Ridge Middle School or The Station.
The local food bank provided this list of items as the most useful for a family in need. As a limited emergency food pantry, these are the only items we are accepting for The Cupboard @ The Station at this time. Thank you for your generous and regular support!
Each bag will include:
18 oz. peanut butter
1 lb. box saltine crackers
10 oz. can of meat (chicken, ham, turkey, tuna)
26 oz. can of spaghetti sauce
16 oz. pkg. spaghetti
15 oz. box of Cheerios
64 oz. bottle of fruit juice
18.6 oz. can of chunky meat soup
15 oz. can of pears or peaches
2 – Boxed Macaroni & Cheese
2 - 15 oz. cans of vegetables (corn, green beans, peas, etc.)
40 oz. can of canned pasta with meat
